Hi folks, this is my first post in Technibble...

I do a lot of special orders for my clients. When the orders arrive, I have to manually calculate the costs for the order such as import duties, freight, cost of the item itself, credit card tax, paypal fees etc before I can find out the total cost and add some profit.

I have been searching online for a solution but I can't find one or maybe I am not looking at the right place.

Is there an excel workbook with the formulas that I can punch in the numbers and it will automatically calculate the total cost and price the items accordingly?

Thank you.

Only way I can think of, is to create a excel ss yourself. They aren't that hard to do.

Either that, or pay for an accountant to create one for you. Depending on the complexity of the sheet, it shouldn't take long to do.

too many random variables as every one of the costs you are talking about will differ depending on the item.

yes you could create spreadsheets to automate certain aspects but your still going to have to manually fill in most figures, which for "special" one off purchases wont save any time.

Excel is the most cost effective solution from what it sounds like, you could also use a quoting tool like quotworks(it specific, there are many others) etc to perform these functions.

You Need Quoteworks

If you do a lot of special orders then I would suggest you check out what we use, QuoteWerks. http://www.quotewerks.com/

Fantastic program that provides real-time pricing of products. Has a look similar to a spreadsheet. When all is done the client accepts the quote and can pay via credit card.
