Hi, just got in a gaming Asus ROG g20aj that boots to just the asus splash screen logo, bios boot options showing but nothing works, keyboard is live. I assumed its the HD just because I've had two Asus in the past week hung on the bios screens with bad hd's. I pulled the drive and ran it through HD Tune, (see jpegs) and
quick scan showed no bad blocks, health says ok, but I'm not sure about these jpgs, any one know if these are normal? I'm running the full disk scan now.

Is this unit still under warranty ?

Thanks, for your opinion. I think this kid already tried to troubleshoot himself (missing screws) and was just looking for a confirmation, rats. I hate when this happens. No money here.

Don't you charge a diagnostic fee? If not, you need to re-visit that idea and start doing so!
I know, I used to, especially to avoid instances like this, BUT all my competitors (and there's a lot) give free diagnostics. This doesn't happen too often, I advertise free diagnostic WITH repair. I have a hard time charging for not fixing anything I guess, especially when I know they aren't going elsewhere for repair. It doesn't hurt to make brownie points, he may hire me again in the future.

I advertise for free ESTIMATE, but charge for diag, it's two completly different things and still alot of value in the estimate.
Estimate is given by phone only. Most shope don't do that so you could have the advantage there.
The client feels already more confident in you because you can at least give them a ballpark idea of the price, most your competitors i'm sure only offer to bring it in.
