Cheap alternative
Hi,
Not being a great tech person I finally got to tear apart a tablet last week. I had to come up with a way to open the case and the remove screen this is how I did it. I used a single edge razor blade I a cheap plastic holder. (about $3.00). The razor blade is thin enough to get in the space between the top and the screen. I have also used it to open laptop cases. You should dull the blade a bit before starting. Once I got the top open at one spot I use large paper clips to hold the edge open as I worked around the case. This let me keep the case open and not re-stick because I was pushing on it. It also let me use both hands to open with and not worry about holding open the rest. I was surprised that it worked and thought I would pass in on.
Good Luck from Mom
