Any Christopher Walken fans here?

Just saw two new movies with Christopher Walken in them, "Seven Psychopaths" and "Stand up Guys". Some of the shots in 7 psychopaths of Walken are just classic representations of Walken's characters. I love his smile that is a mix of kind, happy, myschevious and psychotic all rolled up into one expression - you can never really tell what's going through his mind.

The first movie I ever saw with Walken (that I remembered him in at least" was "Suicide Kings" where Walken plays a mob boss who gets kidnapped.

If you are a Walken fan, what are your favorite movies in which he stars? What is it about him that makes you like him so much?

I still remember the first time I saw the music video "weapon of choice" by Fat Boy Slim.

It's strange how some actors just bring a certain something to a film and can make a mediocre film into an excellent film and an unwatchable film to enjoyable - basically watching how the actor handles the role is sometimes more fun and interesting than the plot of the movie.

Do you remember the first movie where he stood out for you?

So, what are your thoughts about Walken?

If you ever heard of a cartoon called "Courage The Cowardly Dog" they have an episode called "Robot Randy" where the robots voice is styled after Christopher Walken. Chris' weird halting and emphasis on the wrong words is done throughout the episode. Its pretty funny and anyone who ever heard Chris speak will get the vocal reference.

What is that from? I'm suspecting one of his movies? U a fan too?

It is a very...VERY...famous SNL skit (Saturday Night Live). Christopher in it of course...as well as Will Ferrell. And the band Blue Oyster Cult ...recording the song "The Reaper".

Try to find it on You Tube...although SNL does a good job of keeping full length videos of it pulled...if you look around enough you'll find a few full length skits. It's HILARIOUS!

It is hard to believe that a fan of his, WASN'T aware of the SNL skit. It's almost the thing he is most known for. (besides his crazy speech pattern)

I also really liked the Pranksters! skit with him on SNL. "I like to prank 'em for hours in my basement."

In fact, SNL has a best of Christopher Walken special.

Wow have you lived a sheltered life!

Yeah I was always working on Sat nights when he was on the air so I missed out. I also wasn't a huge fan of SNL but I'm going to have to watch some of his old episodes. I'm getting "the best of" DVD from Netflix pretty soon so I'll understand after that :)

It just took me a while to remember it. I've seen him on SNL a few times but I have seen a lot of his movies. I just added about 25 to my Netflix que and he has about 100 movies/films/TV either starring of voice for animation.

Check out At Close Range, it's Walken with the Penn bros when they were very young. Awesome movie.

I was actually thinking of that movie before your post. I haven't seen that movie probably since around the time it was released. I'll have to check if Netflix or Amazon Prime has it, but I'm going to say without looking that I doubt it.

He was also aboard the Splendour with Robert Wagner when Natalie Wood (Wagner's wife and a famous actress) died.
