annoying itunes win 7 64 bit

So I have this hp laptop that won't install the latest itunes software. I have tried all the suggestions from the support site. Getting no where. Everytime I try to install it rolls back right near the end of the install process. All services are running. Get no error messages.

Can anyone help me?

run installer as admin? It happens with UAC turned on sometimes

Tried that already. Also created new admin account and tried to install.

Seems to be a common problem with Itunes and Win 7 64. It took me a couple tries to get it installed, I did it with nothing else running on a fresh boot. Unfortunately there are even more problems with system hangs with Ituns and 7 64bit and problems with devices never showing up, syncing or showing double everything. I had all these problems so I reinstalled the OS thinking that might help but same problem. Got new computer and still had problems but no doubling.
Look and see what other users have found as an answer. Google has tons of links to the install problem.

Any update on this problem? I have a customer coming in who's unable to install iTunes on Windows 8... after reading this I'm willing to bet her new laptop is x64.

Try using the MSICUU2 to remove itunes completely and then re install?
