Adverts in Windows 10?

I personally have not seen it yet, but I have had two clients, 1 today, 1 yesterday that have called about adverts appearing in their Explorer Windows in Windows 10.
I have asked both clients to take a screenshot next time they appear.
The worrying thing is that the adverts - for one client - were for local businesses.
The other was for a discounted Office 365 subscription from Microsoft, but also had contact details for local suppliers.
Anyone else experienced this?

Thanks Adam. I did actually disable this on a client machine just a minute ago. I found your article from a Google search.
The big unknown is will Microsoft reverse these options after getting updates like they do now with many Privacy settings?
Time will tell.

Most likely, or they'll just change the method.

Haven't had any complaints of ads yet in any of the Windows 10 (all Pro edition) installations I've put out there.

Are these Home or Pro edition machines @Barcelona?

I think ads are to be expected, to some extent, for those who chose the free upgrade path or purchased the cheaper Home edition. But I think it's totally unacceptable to see ads when you've paid for the Pro edition.

Wait until you get on and primarily use another browser. I sometimes have gotten advertisements(I primarily use google chrome), telling me how great edge is and why I should be using that.
