Beeps in groups of 3 and sometimes the screen flashes this is not at post
it does this intermittently every half hour or so
laptop is not hot and CPU usage is low , only a year old only used for email and browsing.

I am guessing bad GPU

Acer website is just....awful.
Couldn't find the particular model you mentioned but "3 beeps" is attributed to faulty ram.
Have you swapped out the memory modules and tried it?

This is the model not that it's going to help much, I was on site for about an hour and it did not do it then only the screen flashed a few times only going on what he told me, he told me afterward it's continuing to do it
I was thinking memory but usually you get BSD when that happens
Since win 10 updates drivers maybe it's a bad video driver that's something to try along with memory
on these low-cost laptops, memory is not easily accessible.

I won't be changing memory on site, I think best option is to go to Acer get latest drivers, check event viewer, also look for a dump file, I don't think it reboots after beeps

I got some more info

Yes, the beeping started about a year back but it was only once in awhile. Not even daily back then. It started with 3 beeps and then would go away. Its slowly progressed into a 3 or 4 times a day and those 3 beeps can sometimes last for over a minute. I usually turn off the laptop and I`m good for awhile. While its beeping everything is frozen (mouse and all). To turn the laptop off I have to hold down the power button for 8 to 10 seconds . I guess I`m just used to everything because I can get around it for now. Who knows, the beeping someday might never go away and of course its out of the warranty period.

That sounds like a thermal management problem. Presumably not the CPU, as it will usually switch off, so we're back to the GPU. If it's the GPU protecting itself in hardware, there may not be anything in the Windows event log.

I'd definitely run HWmonitor to assess the temps of the components. More information would help

It was fine for the first couple of months. After that, it would beep 3 times and quit. I didn`t think much of it back then. Its slowly worsened and now it beeps daily.
He put a small fan next to it and it greatly helped, when I put my hand underneath it was not hot.

I think it has to be something to do with GPU since screen flashes also.

Possibly the best thing to do is put a heavy-duty USB cooling tray underneath
on these $300 Walmart laptops are they worth fixing?

I ran the HWmonitor but graphics did not show as it was Intel built-in
he is still having problems despite using a cooling tray.

I wonder if there's any way to turn off beeps in Bios or anywhere else.
