Acceptable CPU temperature range Pentium 4

Is there a 1-stop website that you can use to research acceptable temperature ranges for various CPU's?

I'm working on a custom built PC with a Dell MB and a Pentium 4 - 630 / socket LGA775.
Customer complained that the PC would shut down. I tested it with Speed Fan. Here's the results...
GPU 61c
CPU 63c
Internal 46c
Remote 38c
HD1 40c
HD1 38c
Core 60c

PSU voltages were all normal.

CPU heat sink looked to have too much thermal paste slopped on there. I cleaned off and put a thin layer of paste. Now CPU temp is down to 56c.

But I'd sure like to learn more about acceptable temp ranges.

I just go off experience, I know from new builds what the temperatures should be. If that is 56c idling it is way too high for a 775. It won't cause any problems but it is too high and I would want to know why. Could be a faulty sensor/bad reading.
