Hi everyone,

this is my first new year with my shop and i have no idea when should i keep my shop close over the holidays. can you please tell me on 29,30,31,1,2 your shop opening times for these days? or when your shop close over these days?

Thanks in advance.

I don't have a shop, but I know one thing. I'm certainly going to be on call, even on the 31'st. Too many children with too many new computers, laptops, gadgets and games for me to pass up. I can't let my competition get those new clients.

Our shop is closed from the 23rd until the 17th of Jan!
However I am on call over that period. :(
As we mostly look after businesses that are also closed over that period it seems silly to be open.

Wed: 29, 9 to 6
Thur: 30, 9 to 6
Fri: 31, 9 to 6
Sat: 1 Closed (Usually 10 to 2)
Sun: 2 Closed

I have a storefront and am always on call for by business customers that operate after hours.

Good plan, get in there nice and early and leave 'em with a few business cards ;).

The shop where I work is open 10-4 as opposed to the usual 9-5

I have a storefront and am open all this week 8:30 to 6:00. My billboard comes out this week, so it will be critical that I'm not only open, but available for night/weekend calls over the weekend. I have plans NY night, but will work NY day and Sunday, as usual. I barely take holidays off. Until the business can run without me, I work.

altho' not officially a 'shop' as such, this is our 4th christmas opening in official business premises & as with other years we've been guided by the local shops in the nearest towns to us, ie we've opened the days they've opened... most customers will be home users anyway, & mostly problems will be viruses, new printer or 'it's just not working' kinda things...

our contract clients should be ok, as we're more into pro-active monitoring than re-active, (we take it in turns to be on call anyway!)

Mon/Tues 27th/28th closed
Wed/Thurs 29/30th open 09:30-17:30
Fri 31st closed
Sat 1st closed

Oh cmon, us adults can act like children too! As we speak I'm enjoying tech nibble on my iPad which I was surprised to find that I actually like the thing, although I would love to throw some custom os in here.

Back on point I did in fact get a few calls from parents trying to setup their kids iPads, nintendo ds, psp, laptops, net books, desktops, printers, etc to their networks, a few tv mounts, and also plenty of people who want to throw out their old tech away. I've never been this busy since I started back in fl! Business is good right now. *knock on wood* I'm glad I chose to work this week and even happier knowing that in January I'm gonna register as a fully legal LLC...

open

I have a laptops waiting for UPS to drop off screens, so I will be doing that, and hopefully catch some action.
Christmas days I made a net of $650 in 2 hours, while the family was still sleeping, so you bet I will be around if people need me :D
