You can get some real nice 2 sided business cards with UV gloss coating or matte finish quantity 1000 for $19 + shipping. Or 5000 for $48.

I got some of these last month and they are amazing quality and I ordered the thicker version. Everyone I hand them to are impressed.

I tried to do that but for the same cards the cheapest I could find was $150......just crazy. Hopefully I will find someone in the future that will be more reasonable that could also become a customer of mine.

I believe in supporting local business where I can - though I use online services for cards myself and there is at least one local printer - their quality is amazing but their rates are at least 10x or MORE what you pay online. I just can't justify that.

My feeling is that if your business model involves selling something that someone else can do 10-15x cheaper maybe then you need to find another business model - or another business to be in. I feel sorry for the local guy, I do.

Now if I could BARTER with the guy, trade services for services, maybe pay a little out of pocket, then I'd be happy to support his business. So there's an option for you, and I would encourage you to actively seek out a local printer who will trade with you. My particular local printer wasn't interested - so be it, I'll keep my business online for now.

Thanks for posting this, I appreciate it. I have been needing new cards after a bus. name change, and I just ordered 5K. Like others, I have been unable to find a local printer that could come even close to online prices.

Otherwise, I do support my local guys.

I picked up 50 fridge magnets for $11. It will be interesting though to see how big they are as I think their business cards are a bit on the small side.
