    RapidSpar Demo Program

ddrescue worked perfectly. Perfect clone. I decided I wanted to test ddrescue vs. Windows clones. ddrescue was successful, so when I confirmed I had all the client data, I tested 2 Windows clone tools. Both failed promptly!

    RapidSpar Demo Program

...used sectors on a drive. We just finished implementing it over the weekend. It's basically a single button in the Windows client software (RapidSpar Assistant) that will instruct RapidSpar to clone all sectors in use by the file system to the Target drive. It's a more efficient way to make...

Cloning a MAC HDD to a new HDD (With Windows)

...where you have the highest chance to get the best recovery possible 2. Better option - seek the assistance of a fellow TN member who has a RapidSpar and get them to image the drive for you, if they can 3. Good option - image the drive with ddrescue within Linux If you start at option 3 and...

...– Unfortunately we can’t work with Dell computers yet, so the user couldn’t give it a try (https://www.technibble.com/forums/threads/rapidspar-demo-program.68924/#post-541716) Ken's PC Repair – went well...

    RapidSpar Demo Program

I don't think you fully understand what RapidSpar is capable of. Did you even read through all these posts? I think you should read or re-read through the posts and you might come out with a different opinion. I am not qualified to speak on the exact specifications and capabilities but I can...

...work as well, but not as frequently as powered hubs. We ran into the power issue a while back after making the very first prototype of the RapidSpar device. We had to redesign our hardware after we found out how many laptops are not capable of providing sufficient power as required by USB3...

    RapidSpar Demo Program

Hehe. WD laptop Blue (WD2500BEVT). Shows one weak/pending sector; 21 G-Sense, and nothing else. SMART short test fails instantly. It crashes the laptop during boot. Put another drive in I use for testing the interface, works fine. Windows test bench, crashes at random. Linux it'll start, but I'm...

    RapidSpar Demo Program

You can try to start imaging with ddrescue...if you start to see the unread/skipped sector count go up, stop right away. It might just be a good candidate for RapidSpar, but may also be something a little more complex.

Good data recovery tool for a good price

...I am still trying to do the math to make sure equipment will pay for itself soon. I recently saw that Deepspar released a new product. Rapidspar. From what I read it looks like a good compromise for me. And the price is more affordable. However I didn't find any reviews or hands on experience...

...drives, in various states. Some healthy, some not -- none of which have been hammered away at. I'm liking it so far. I'm impressed with RapidSpar Assistant... it shows you the quality of the heads, you can submit diagnostic info and have the drive "optimized" for a recovery. What I'll maybe...

Good data recovery tool for a good price

...will be in States and will cost a lot. None of my clients have that much money to pay. Saying that, I already decided to go for a RapidSpar. I was convinced after watching the video on the bottom of this page http://rapidspar.com/why.html I already got the shipping info. I will let you know...

    RapidSpar Demo Program

This story of my drive #3 of the RapidSpar may scare the heck out of you guys a bit. Okay, a lot. (lcoughey, may want to avert your eyes.) This is a story, of a drive. It's belongs to a client, but also a friend. They called me, in a panic, that their computer stopped booting once, went up...

    +1 for R-Studio

...that R-Studio (maybe it was some other program) skips bad sectors and will continue running and [try to] recover data. Is that correct? RapidSpar would be cool. Not sure if it will get that serious though. One thing I am curious about, I did a bit of reading yesterday about data recovery and...

Good data recovery tool for a good price

It was just released, so I doubt anyone has had a chance to check it out thoroughly, unless they were a beta tester. The only date I can find associated with the news release on DeepSpar's site, was the following in the source code.

    Method used for imaging

    RapidSpar Demo Program

Very interesting that a powered USB3 hub fixes it; Does an unpowered USB3 hub do it too? Have you tested the RapidSpar's power requirements, that it's peak draw is at or under 6 units/900mA? I know I've had experiences myself with earlier USB3 ports only providing 500mA power, or a few newer...

    +1 for R-Studio

It scans sector by sector (as does most all data recovery software) and it can handle skipping a few bad sectors. However what Luke is talking about getting a sector-by sector clone is different. When R-Studio is scanning, it's not creating a backup of the data anywhere, just finding the...
