Bryce Whitty here from Technibble.com, and in this video I want to talk about when it’s the right time to start delegating your work.

So after you have a few clients, you may find yourself going from having too much time and not enough money, to now having money and no time.

When you hit this stage you should start delegating work. That could be outsourcing the tasks to someone overseas, or just bringing in the accounts girl every Monday.

My own first hire was actually in 2012 when I got an amazing deal on a cruise. The problem was there was pretty much no internet on the ship so I’d have a problem running my business.

The physical computer work was already sorted but I still had customer support to do, like people forgetting logins or someone losing their product files.

I spent a few days writing down my systems into a logical way where someone could deal with most situations. A little bit like code. “If this happens then do this. Otherwise, do that”.

I hired someone with good reviews and let them take over customer support for the week leading up to the week before the cruise so I could tighten up my systems a little bit.

Then the day rolled around and I went on my cruise and I was able to check in few times when free Wifi when it was available but it wasn’t all that common during 2012.

When I came back from my holiday, everything was running perfectly. My customers were well looked after and everything was running smoothly.

There is always the concern that they won’t be able to do tasks as well as you but with robust systems you train them to do it “your way”.

So now I focus on the tasks that require my unique industry knowledge, and they dedicate themselves to look after the customer support side of things.

The end result was that my customer support was EVEN BETTER, because now, there is a dedicated person to look after customers. Whereas before it was just one of the many tasks I needed to do in the day.

So this is how businesses grow from just you, to a business that could potentially run without you.

You can start small and just outsource little things like accounting, chasing up invoices or other repeatable tasks. It can all be done relatively inexpensively and the time you gain is huge.

If publishing consistent marketing is a problem for your business, this is something we can help you with over at Technibble.com with our white label content service.

That’s it for this episode. I hope you have found it useful and thank you for watching.
