The release candidate version of the third service pack for Windows XP operating system has been released. However, they are exlusive only to beta testers. Betanews.com reports that around 15,000 people are involve in this project to test the service pack.

Microsoft plans to release one more public beta release before they release the final version next year.

The writer who wrote the article for Betanews say that the first service pack for Windows Vista will likely be released first before the third service pack for XP. The date for the release of Service Pack #3 will occur on the first half of 2008.
