Not sure what the fuss about activation is about. I’ve just reactivated my OEM XP over the internet on a completely different PC! This MS Technet article is interesting, particularly the sentence that reads “Finally, the Microsoft activation clearinghouse system will automatically allow activation to occur over the Internet four times in one year on substantially different hardware”. (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457054.aspx#EDAA). Never read that anywhere else oddly.
