Symantec Corp. has released a report a few days ago that Microsoft’s Windows operating system is more secure than either Mac OS X or Linux.

In the report, they listed how many vulnerabilities each operating system had, how many of them are high priorities, and what is the average fix time for those vulnerabilties.

Windows came in first place. The second place is taken by Red Hat Linux. Apple’s Mac OS X came in third place while Sun came in last place.

Anuj Nayar from Apple said, “Apple takes security very seriously and has a great track record of addressing vulnerabilities before they affect you. ”
