Microsoft has confirmed that the Windows 7 trial period could last for up to 120 days.
The article at the New York Times website shows how to do it. First, a user has to go to the Command Prompt program. This is located under Programs>Accessories. Once the user has opened command prompt, he or she has to type “slmgr -rearm” without the quotations. The last step is to restart the computer.
Windows Vista also had this feature according to the article.
