The next Windows operating system will be released on the first month of 2010 according to a letter company senior vice president Bill Veghte. The letter was sent to Microsoft customers.
He wrote, “You have told us you want a more regular, predictable Windows release schedule. You’ve also let us know you don’t want to face the kinds of incompatibility challenges with the next version of Windows you might have experienced early with Windows Vista. As a result, our approach with Windows 7 is to build off the same core architecture as Windows Vista so the investments you and our partners have made in Windows Vista will continue to pay off with Windows 7. Our goal is to ensure the migration process from Windows Vista to Windows 7 is straightforward.”

Ok, so how many of us are willing to stay with XP until 2010? Actually a better question might be… How many of us are willing to go to Vista when we can stay with XP until 2010?
Well, TimeCode….There is absolutely no reason you (or anyone else) can’t stay with Xp until 2010…or even longer.
Microsoft will provide extended support for XP until 2014, so staying with XP until 2010 simply will not be a problem for anyone who wishes to do so.
Besides…2010 is only 18 months away. I hardly think the most widely used OS in the world is going to vanish in just 18 months.
