PC World conducted a test between Windows 7 and Windows Vista using a benchmarking tool called WorldBench version 6.

Three computers were tested. Two desktops and one laptop. The models are HP Pavillion a6710t, Maingear M4A79T Deluxe, and Dell Studio XPS 16.

The laptop showed an improvement of 2 points. The Maingear desktop improved by a point and the HP computer improves by 4 points. The test includes softwares such as Photoshop and Office. The article notes that the test in Nero 7 Ultra Edition showed significant improvements.
