Vista SP2

by Lee

Techspot has released an article that the second service pack for Windows Vista will be released before Windows 7. There are no details about the release date or the expected features but the article notes that beta versions may have been shipped to some hardware and software partners by Microsoft.

There is speculation that the new service pack may include some aspects of Windows 7′s functionality. The public Beta 1 of Windows 7 is expected to be released this year.

Releasing it first is nothing more than a tactic to delay Win 7 another year at least…

Maybe they will use the time to make Win 7 look less like a Vista clone……

not likely. while we all hope it wont completely suck it will probably still be a massive POS.

The bad part is about the time Vista actually starts working properly Microsoft will flood the market with Windows 7 machines.

I for one don’t need or want a new OS every 2-3 years, I would just like the ones I do use to work.

ok….xp had issues til sp2 came out as well. I use vista with no problems, as does my wife ( a mac tech ) and so do all of my customers…. windows is sooo terrible, that 92% of the world uses it……and if osx is so great, why need boot camp..oh wait, apple needs windows to get things done.

We have been over this before. I don’t have any problems with Microsoft, I love XP.

I think Vista sucks and many thousands or users and admins agree with me.

I don’t need windows on my Mac, but it sure is nice being able to have both, something PC only users can only dream of.

Can anyone explain to me the improvements that to Windows that will come with the release of Windows 7? Will it be that different to Vista or not?
