Bryce,

Excellent content and presentation. Can you do a podcast that shows how and what you use to make them. It looks like you record what you are doing while using a live mike, but I see in one you show the system rebooting and I can't see how the recording process would continue during that process. The pace, resolution, ease of stop/start, and screen shrink/swell are very simple, clean and easily learned. Please continue making these and updating them with new ideas and details. I'd certainly like to see Windows 7 versions later.
Thanks for the effort.

Hi Bryce,

First of all, this is an awesome website and I thank you for all of the great information it contains. I am fairly new to the site but not to repairing and troubleshooting PC's. In this video, it shows that during your maintenance, you use a program called ATF cleaner. This program has a box that you ticked to delete prefetch files. This process has been of controversy for many years. Do you delete these files due to the misconception that this speeds up the system or to remove any possibility that they might be corrupt. I refer to an article for evidence that this does not speed up a system by deleting the files at: http://www.edbott.com/weblog/?p=24. In this article, titled "Bogus XP advice", the author has timed start times before and after deleting the files and found a significant increase by leaving the files there.

Also worth mentioning, in light of the My Web Search service, that HJT supports deleting services. While it was deactivated, it was still present on the system.

Like the cast, might also mention the shift delete at the end to bypass the recycle bin. Just a thought!

Great job, Bryce. Keep up the good work. These podcast are another great way for you to get you knowledge out to the masses. Most podcasts are a little lame, but this one was informative, too the point, and easy to watch. Keep it up.

Great job, thanks for hijackthis tutorial, very helpful!!! A little background noise, but I think you'll improve it... and WHY did you leave limewire. My first advice for clients - get rid of LIMEWIRE, it's bad.
Thanks again, keep up!
