Twelve security updates will be released by Microsoft according to various tech sites. These patches are for softwares which include Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, and Media Player.
Don Leatham of Lumension Security said that this batch will make the IT departments busier than last month’s release. He also said that IT teams should install the DNS update if they have not done so.
The security program manager for Microsoft Security Response Center said that there are 60% less malware on a Windows Vista computer than on a computer which is running Windows XP based on the data that were collected by Microsoft’s malicious software removal tool.

Funny how he failed to mention that XP machines still out numbers Vista machines (by several Billion) and XP has been around a hell of a lot longer so their statistic would naturally be a bit one sided.
Its obvious they need to unload as many copies of the junk as they can, but all the BS they are pushing to do it is only serving to further tarnish a screwed up reputation.
