Microsoft announced that they will release updates for Windows and Internet Explorer on April 8. There will be a total of eight updates and five of them have a rating of “critical.”

These updates apply to all Windows operating systems from Windows 2000 up to Windows Vista. They also apply to Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008.

There will be a Webcast that they will set up on April 9 which will address user questions about these updates and users can register on an online form to participate on the event. An updated Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool is also scheduled to be released next week. This tool checks and removes malware programs.
