Hello,
I keep getting blue screens. I was running xp pro and got the "irql not less ..." message. I run an amd 9750 quad, which is hot, so I added a liquid cooler, hoping this would solve the issue. It did for a while. Then I got the "drive Irql ... " message, and switched to vista basic (completly upgraded sp2). I still have the blue screen "Driver_IRQL_NOT _LESS_OR_EQUIL". I am aware that this usualy addresses a kernal trying to acess an area it shouldn't, with a value that is to high, and that a poorly (digitaly) signed driver is likly the culprit, but how do I solve this issue?

These only appear in NT based operating systems such as Windows NT, 2000 and XP. Most of the time the errors are caused by hardware problems. Here is a list that will tell you what those stop errors mean. Print This Post Del.icio.us Article By Bryce W Bryce has been currently running a successful onsite computer repair business in Australia for 4 years.
