A ReviewMe.com Review:

There are many gadgets in the tech world where we have completely done away with cables. Now days, wireless networks, wireless mice and wireless keyboards are commonplace in the office. However, there are many devices that still require cables such as monitors, speakers, USB devices and various chargers which will create a rats nest of cables underneath your desks. Until these devices become wireless we need to somehow manage our cables and CableOrganizer.com has stepped up to the plate to fill this niche.

CableOrganizer.com is based out of Florida and sell a variety of cable organization products such as special power boards, cable sleeving and various other clever cable enclosures.

The Products:

CableOrganizer.com sent me some of their products to play with and I have to say, these products are pretty handy. Here are some of the products I received.

Cable Organizer Products

Power Station

Power StationThe Power Station is a clever power board that allows you to charge your portable devices such as mobile phones, PDAs and iPods without having the clutter of three separate chargers and cables all over your desktop. When opened it looks like this.

Cable Turtles
Cable Turtles and a Phone ChargerThe Cable Turtles can be used pretty much anywhere and comes in a few different sizes and colors. I personally used the little ones on my devices with finer cables such as my phone charger and the larger ones on thicker ones such as power cables. Getting the cables inside the turtles was easy because they can be turned inside out, wrapped up and then put back to normal. These definitely helped with cleaning up my desktop.

Cable Yo-yo
Cable Yoyo and Phone ChargerThe Cable Yoyo (pictured here with my phone charger) was ideal for cleaning up the part of my wireless mouse that plugs into the back of my computer. The cable wraps around this device very much like a Yoyo which you can stick to the back of your case as it comes with an adhesive patch.

Power Squid
Power SquidAnd finally, the Power Squid which is an awesome idea. How many of you had massive router/phone/wireless-mice chargers that wouldn’t fit together on your powerboard because they were too large? The Power Squid eliminates this problem. Definitely would be handy to have around computer desks where huge chargers seem to live.

Areas for Improvement
This wouldn’t be much of a review unless I could mention some things I didn’t like; out of all the products they sent me the only thing I could find that I didn’t like was the size of the Power Station. It was a little too big for my desktop but I guess it needs to be large to accommodate those massive chargers.

In conclusion, most of us will be able to find a product on their site for whatever part of our office’s cables we are trying to clean up, their prices are reasonable and their shipping, which was to me in Australia was fast.
