Symantec, makers of various security products for Windows operating systems, is attacking an issue about Microft’s security on its latest operating system.
After testing Vista’s security, they found that 2% of spyware, 3% of existing backdoors, 4% of keyloggers, and 2% of Trojans can exploit some holes in Vista. The various malware can also survive even if a user reboots his or her system.
The researchers at Symantec say they were successful on deactivating some of Vista’s kernel protection technologies in just one week.
They examined three areas which are user account control, kernel-level protection, and protections on memory.
