Microsoft will no longer offer free support about the Windows XP operating system and Office 2003 software suite beginning on April 14. The support criteria includes warranty claims, design changes, and bug fixes which are not related to security.

The security updates will be provided until August of 2014.

Support for Windows Server 2003 with SP1 will no longer be available as of April 14 too so users must upgrade to Service Pack 2 of the operating system.

The other programs that will no longer supported are Exchange Server 2003 Standard and Enterprise editions.
