Those who have netbooks with Intel processors can now run Mac OS X 10.6.2 with a custom version of the operating system. “Tea” has modified the kernel to enable users to install it on Atom processor powered netbooks.
Users need to install the update using Terminal. They are advidsed to copy the custom version to the root level and reboot. The full instructions are located at Insanely Mac’s forum.
According to the article at The Register, it is not known whether Apple intended to remove support of Atom processors in 10.6.2.
