The fourth version of Apple’s web browser has been released. Safari 4 fixes 51 vulnerabilities. 10 of them was reported last year. 7 out of these 10 vulnerabilites are rated “high” in terms of severity under the CVSS scoring system.
Many of the vulnerabilities only exists in the Windows version of the browser.
One of the flaws that was fixed is in the libxml2 library. The flaw could make an integer overflow and allow remote execution by using an XML document
Some of the vulnerabilities are in the company’s webkit HTML engine.
