The Register reports that researchers discovered rootkit-like functionality in a security product for enterprise.

The process is on a hidden directory according to Trend Micro. The files in this directory may not be detected by antivirus softwares which could be a hiding place for viruses.

It is a misguided software design writes Trend Micro to software developers. At the moment, their software includes a warning  if such as case happened since there is no fix for this issue yet.
