Pirate Bay users have posted their opinions about Windows 7 beta version.
One person said that he has Windows 7 running on a computer with a Pentium 4 processor and 768 MB RAM. “Looks like it’s OK to me, not too much different than Vista but a few new items,” the user, “al966g” wrote.
“I can mount all my games, which are playing incredibly well for my older hardware. It looks like Microsoft took note of some of the problems with Vista and made changes,” said a user named “bren72″.
Microsoft has not officially release the Windows 7 beta version. The article at Information Week notes that it will be released on the MSDN developers’ conference this month.

I’ve been testing out windows 7 build 7000, and i have to say the interface is simalar to vista, but much more refined and easier to navigate.
The biggest feature i’ve noticed is real time S.M.A.R.T monitoring built right into windows 7. if there is a hard drive problem or one that is about to fail, it will give you advance warning so you know to backup your files. This is a very good feature to have!
It also seems to run much faster than Vista, even on an older machine. I’m running it on a spare box, a P4 with 1GB ram and 250GB HDD. It runs faster than Vista does on my Core2Due box, with 4GB ram and 160GB HDD.
how can i get windows 7 beta?
i have been testing Windows 7 on my laptop, i started out with it in a virtual machine but got annoyed with the limitations. I have since installed it on my laptop as the primary OS.
The only annoying thing i have now is that it runs out in 30 days and i cant buy a license, its great, it’s everything vista should have been.
So far i have only found one bug and that is that you can’t rename folders on the start menu but apart from that no issues, boots fast, runs fast, runs well, looks nice.
I have yet to test the new networking “Homegroup” but will be doing so shortly.
Great O/S if you can get it i suggest you do!
Who did you get Windows 7 Nathan? i have been looking for it, and havent found it. maybe someone here could help me?

Try searching for The Pirate Bay.
That should get you along the right track
thanks! there are so many options, i dont know which one to download… i was looking at the Lite version, but i dont know yet…
Can you send me a DVD of Windows 7? i’ll pay shipping and your asking price, cause i cant download it on my internet connection. (we share our connection,DSL, and if i do, then it will be slow.)
We’re still quite far away from the release date, so many things might be completely different. Having said that, it seems that M$ finally did something well – from what I can tell Windows 7 takes the good from both vista and xp and leaves the bad.
I hope that this will finally end the vista vs xp war and not start a vista vs xp vs W7 one
i personally havent had any problems with vista, but i agree with you there.
I never try this one yet. Torrents are full of Windows 7 now. You can get it there or rapidshare. I’m using XP and Vista and happy with it. My guess for Win 7 is that we need tons of RAM. Currently, my Vista is running on 4GB RAM (x64 bit fammily). 2GB is on average speed. Maybe you need latest i7 processor for Windows 7.
You do not need ‘tons’ of RAM or a brand ’spankin new Core i7 Processor from Intel.
This new OS from Microsoft is running well and has been running well on my PC for the last month and is a brilliant answer to XP and Vistas Issues.
I’m runing an E6600 C2D at 2.4Ghz
2GB DDR2800 Ram
Nvidia 7600
As i Said, It Runs brilliantly.
Thanks for the reviews. Those are really still beta but can tell us that e can expect nice improvements in new Windows 7, although my thought is that Microsoft did another hurry in release.
