The date of the official release of Windows 7 has been confirmed by a Microsoft spokesperson. “I can finally confirm Windows 7 timing,” said the spokesperson.
A program called Windows Upgrade Option will also be launced for those users who want to upgrade to Windows 7 from Windows Vista.
There will be several editions of Microsoft’s next operating system including Starter Edition, Home Premium, and Enterprise.
The beta version of Windows 7 will end by July 1.

this ought to be interesting, 5 bucks says it flops like vista heh
I’ve had 7 for a while ( about 3-4 weeks) and besides the task bar being slightly different I really don’t “feel” a difference. Mind you I’m taking a consumers perspective. I just don’t think that a computer user will choose to upgrade. I personally enjoy vista on my laptop, my desktop still has xp on it. And when my license for 7 expires, I don’t think I would dish out money for something that looks and acts like vista. my 2 cents anyway.
