New Attack Code

by Lee

A new attack code has been released by security researchers to security professionals.

The code crashes a user’s computer but it does not run any malicious software. However, a more dangerous version of the code may be released according to the article at PC World.

In order for this code to work, an attacker would have to send a packet to a user’s machine. That packet would allow the attacker to run an unauthorized code on the user’s PC.

This was patched by Microsoft last week in the MS08-001 update but enterprise users take time to test their computers when Microsoft releases these type of patches.
