by Lee

Symantec has released new patches for their Veritas NetBackup software.

The patch fixes many vulnerabilities that are serious for security purposes. The vulnerabilities allow remote attackers gain access to computers that are affected by the flaw.

The patches that are available are designed for Veritas NetBackup Master versions 6, 5.1, and 5, Media Servers, and Storage Migrator versions 6, 5.1, and 5 for Unix systems.

The problems involve buffer overflow and programming logic error.
