Monster.com – Hacked Again

by Lee

Three days ago, some of Monster.com’s went black because their job listings were hijacked by attackers. Their goal was to spread malware according to a security researcher.

The type of the attack is an iFrame attack whcih redirects vistors to malicious servers. The attack was included in the job listings of Best Buy, Toyota, and Eddie Bauer.

The Register notes that Rogers Thompson of Exploit Prevention Labs confirmed that he is no longer detecting an attack which means that it may be safe to visit Monster.com again.

A spokesman for Monster.com said, “an extremely small percentage of those using the site this week were potentially exposed prior to those pages being cleaned.”
