The Register has posted an article about a phishing scam that targeted Mac users. The attack coincided with MobileMe service glitches.

According to the article, sensitive information such as credit card numbers, mothers’ maiden names, and birth dates are being traded in underground forums.

The article includes a screenshot of what the information looks like.

One of the subjects of the scam is “Billing problem”. A link is included in the scam and users are directed to a page that looks like it belongs to Apple. The Register notes that Internet Explorer warned them that the page is a scam but Safari and Firefox did not give any warnings.
