The patch for the URI-handling flaw has finally been released. eWeek mentioned in their article that the flaw was disclosed and blamed on Mozilla’s internet browser, Firefox, four months ago.

This affects Windows XP and Server 2003 users who use Internet Explorer version 7.

eWeek noted that the patch for a Macrovision flaw for the same operating systems that were listed above is missing. Eric Schultze of Shavlik Technologies expects the patch for this bug to be released later this month.

Microsoft also released high-priority updates on Windows Server Update Services and Microsoft Update.
