Microsoft Live Messenger Error

UK, Europe, Singapore, and other Microsoft Live Messenger users from other countries are experiencing a log-in error when they try to log-in.

The error says:
WE CAN’T SIGN YOU IN TO WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER YOUR CONTACT LIST IS NOT AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW, PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER
ERROR CODE: 85AE001D

A company spokesperson does not have a comment regarding this issue.

Users have been posting their experiences on Twitter and the company’s help forums. The error occurs on both PCs and mobiles.

I, along with many others users can no longer send emails via Hotmail when using Outlook Express. The problem has been going on since the switch over by Microsoft on September 1st. To date Microsoft has no fix for this problem. Problem does not occur using other email programs to send emails through Hotmail. However, users of Hotmail via Outlook Express can read their emails.
