Two Windows operating systems were attacked through a security hole according to Microsoft. The operating systems are Windows XP and Server 2003. This is related to Macrovision’s copy protection program.
Macrovision has released a patch for this vulnerability and you can find the link to it in the source link below this blog entry.
The bug could lead to a takeover of someone’s computer. However, according to Secunia, this is only a “less critical” hole which is the second lowest rating in their five-tier system.
Microsoft is currently working on their own patch.
