A project called “Longhorn Reloaded” has been ordered by Microsoft to close. The reason is that the project violated the end-user licensing on Windows.
A post at joejoe.org says, “It deeply saddens me that although Microsoft have known about this project for many months they only issued us with this notice a few days after we started to distribute. I am just as sorry as you guys are about this, but we got [sic] to think about the community as a whole first.”
The Longhorn Reloaded Milestone 1 was released just over a month ago. The download links and threads are no longer active from the project website.
