Sensitive information from over 50 million PDF files have potential on being leaked due to a bug in Internet Explorer.

The bug can show where the file is stored and this can inadvertently show names and login IDs of users.

A google search revealed that 4 million documents reside on C drives.

“If they have those kind of PDFs, somebody can use search engines to find out user names or do more reconnaissance on the operating systems used,” said a security researcher at Inferno.
