A number of serious flaws has been discovered by the University of Michigan security researchers on China’s internet filter software called Green Dam.
The software is designed to filter image, text, and URL items that are politically sensitive or adult in nature.
When forbidden words are detected, the filter automatically shuts off the program that the user is working on.
Some content on the blacklists are from other filtering programs such as CyberSitter.
