Something most computer business startups need is a supplier for their computer parts. However suppliers are typically hard to find because they are usually factories in the backblocks of town and they dont advertise.
So how do you get a computer supplier? Find out who your local computer store uses. I doubt they will tell you if you asked so I am going to share with you how I found my supplier.
A few years ago I was at my local computer store picking up some parts and I noticed a bunch of boxes near the front door that are yet to be put away. While the computer store were gathering parts/writing invoices I strolled over to the boxes as if I was killing time.
On the side of these boxes are the packing orders/invoices where I could see the name of the supplier but no other details. I wrote this name into my mobile phone so I wouldnt forget and when I got home I googled “
I printed off their application form and I was in business. Its a bit cheeky but it works.

Nice, when I first saw the title of the post I figured you’d checked the dumpster in back of the shop to get information off any shipping stickers on their boxes.
I actually hooked up with the suppliers of the computer shop I used to work for. I totally think it pays for aspiring techs to go work for a small computer shop for a few months. Even though I had my university degree, numerous certifications and had been a system admin for five years, I learned tons more about the “biz” and ideal business processes (esp. when it comes to covering your butt) in the six months I was working 15 hours a week at the local computer shop doing a mix of sales and service for the fun of it on nights and weekends (and certainly not for the $11/hr they were paying me
