Vista error (code =0;0)

I installed a game, but once I opened it, it apear a message telling that "there will be no voice or sound effects because the sysstem does not support ADPCM files. Do you wish to continue? yes no. if i click yes the game starts but when a sound must start, appear a new message saying that the loading of sound files failed. Could you tell how to get rid of this problem? I am running Win Vista.
