When installing the screen, pull the digitizer cable ALL THE WAY through the slot! The digitizer cable on the 4 Series phones lays on TOP of the LCD cable, and tends to get pinched. If it's pinched, it can break off, like on the practice phone I had, that is now inhabiting a trash can.:eek: Believe it or not, some instructional pieces on the net do not mention this. Thankfully it was just a practice phone, but I promised my mom I'd resell it after I was done with it and give her the cash in repayment of money I owe her for something else. She won't get that cash now.

I also use the repair guides from ifixit.com. Like bytebuster said make sure you pull the digitizer cable all the way thru. I made that mistake once. Hopefully others can learn from it.

i have to agree with ifixit.com although I use their app on the iPhone so I always have it to hand and is easier to acces than opening safari and loading their hompepage.
