MS KB4480970 & 0960 broken networking

Has anyone come up with solutions to this? I have uninstalled the patch on the Windows 7 host PCs, I tried the suggested registry fix:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy"=dword:00000001
to the host PC with out success, but if I read this correctly it would need to be applied on all PCs not just the host, and that would open a security hole. Also, I have one client where a Power User member is experiencing the same inability to access shares on their Windows 7 host, so I don't think this is the solution.

I've had success when uninstalling the 0970 patch from the computer acting as the file server. Just make sure to hide the patch so it doesn't reinstall itself.

Yeah I did that to band-aid the problem, but there are other patches in that rollup. Hoping for an "oh just add this or remove that". We'll just have to wait and see what MS does.
