Hi I think I ran into this years ago and can't remember how I resolved it. This pavilion tower has a 1 tb hd with a little 40gb Intel optaine ssd raid. No matter what I do, after doing a clean win 10 install win updates the Intel optaine raid ssd driver to so on reboot the bios does not see a drive and throws up an error. I've tried to disable the raid,(bios won't let me) use legacy in the bios, disabled hardware driver updates from advanced system options. Nothing helps, windows updates it and no reboot, I can't use restore points or recovery, all I can do is reload. Ideas? Should I just pull the optaine ssd? There is no Intel raid app on the HP model's drivers support page either.

Not sure if you saw this.

Any any rate I agree with pulling the NVMW. That's a hokey arrangement Supposed to make a difference but really doesn't. Apple had them as well for a while and I never bothered trying to re-integrate it.
