Default Start up tuneup software

Is there anything out there that is free or paid that would quickly allow me to tune how fast xp loads up and shuts down.

Microsoft says not to use bootvis and has taken it down.

a quote from microsoft:

Quote:
Please note that Bootvis.exe is not a tool that will improve boot/resume performance for end users. Contrary to some published reports, Bootvis.exe cannot reduce or alter a system's boot or resume performance. The boot optimization routines invoked by Bootvis.exe are built into Windows XP and only XP. It will NOT work on other OS's. These routines run automatically at pre-determined times as part of the normal operation of the operating system."

Default Personally, you can make XP.....

Personally, you can make windows XP or vista faster by yourself. There is no need for any tools, but remember that's only me, there are a lot of different opinions out there.

Check this Computer Repair Blog to make your computer load faster.

Most of the tune-up software they have out there is garbage. Jessica's link will help you a little although those are very basic steps. Here is another link from Technibble that someone posted that could be of use to you...
