Here's a program a made a few years ago in assembly language
You basically drag and drop a file into the gui and it overwrite the file while erasing it making it unrecoverable , thought someone would like to play with it to see if they can recover the file it overwrites. It doesnt support dropping multiple files i never got around to finishing that. ![]() Download it here http://whatsmypass.com/oscar.exe

Tried it with Window 7 Ult x64 and dragged an empty folder to it and it asked if I wanted to kill it, said yes and Oscar vanished and folder remained.

I'm running Vista 64bit.
Oscar worked fine to delete a .jpg and when I tried getting it back with Recuva it showed the file as recoverable but I was unable to open it- exactly the way jpg's act when they have been overwritten and you try to recover them. Great little app! |

yea i never got around to programming on 64bit computers yet so everything i make should be 32bit compatible, its a little harder on 64bit and using older assemble language

So you are writing code in ASM.
That is like the Holly Grail of programming man !!! You don't need to keep writing big applications in assembly. Instead, use your knowledge of how the CPU works to write performant applications in a high level programming language. There is no better advantage as a programmer than having assembly language knowledge. What are you doing fixing computers anyway? Who got you stuck into this "no money making, hard working" business? If you really know assembly then your skills are an invaluable asset for many companies out there. And you don't even need to leave the comfort of your house to work as a programmer. Get a grip on yourself ! Edit. Get a job as a programmer, and you will be treated like a God amongst the "only high level language" programmers. Last edited by K007; 10-30-2009 at 09:39 PM. |
