I would like to add one of my own programs for example "ImgBurn" but it is a zip file, how can I program that it should extract itself and go in to the computer repair folder, do I have to Edit some file or what?
thank you, |

my next version im going to include imgburn , ive already got it on my list
7zip actually supports extracting it from the setup.exe and then you need to start imgburn with the the portable options ImgBurn.exe /PORTABLE /SETTINGS ImgBurn.ini |

Good work, parnter, but I'll mention a few issues I've seen. One, (not your fault), may want to avoid the RiData EZdrives with the physical write protect switch. Worst $20 I think I've ever spent. Switch is so small, it takes a mechanical pencil tip to set it. Further (more important to you), its write speeds are the worst I've ever seen from ANY thumb drive. It's like your working on a slow, spyware-infested system using it! Unless that's the general behavior of your software package. Slow goings, for sure.
Two, I'm testing Prevx 3.0, and it may or may not "like" the files on this thumb drive (the "Toolkit" itself). I turned it off, but it was still slow to start or use any of said programs, and prior to shutting it (Prevx) down, it flagged a few items (inc. Combofix) as virus/spyware laden---which of course we know aren't. Just wanted to mention these things. I'm disappointed enough in this thumb drive that I'm probably going to hold on to it, wait for a moment where I'm really pissed off, then throw it against my basement wall to watch it explode! It's really that damn slow. I'm pretty sure it's the drive itself. Sled-like. What I might do instead is update your Toolkit on occasion, then burn to CD. That way I can use it to destroy stuff without having to worry about infecting any thumb drives. Wish someone could recommend a fast-writing thumb drive with a write-protect switch. I thought about encryption, but don't know if you could do that every time before you write to said thumb drive. |
