POLL: Worst advertising someone tried to sell you.
Hey, I just got off the phone with a guy who wanted to sell me space on a bulletin board for an athletic complex at the local university. $800 + tax, for something the size of a paper. Its nuts. Do people even look at those? Whats the worst advertising someone has tried to sell you?

The worst form of advertising that we were offered was a phone book cover ad. They wanted over $400.00 for a spot on this book cover. I don’t know about anyone else but I have never even seen a phonebook cover.

Best one I had was for one of those "Attractions In The Area" type books....they are small little magazine's that show things to do in the Poconos, such as snowboarding, paintballing, etc.....
They offered me a "discount" of $500 a month for a half page...... Now lets think logically, why in the world would a tourist end up calling my shop for computer repairs when: 1) They don't live local 2) I am assuming they didn't bring the computer with them After I told her that she responded "Hm, I could see your point"

I hate that i always say "iam sorry you reached the wrong departement let me transfer you to the PR department" I will just transfer them to my workstation phone and let it go to the voice mail
